Approve Minutes The minutes of the Parish Council meeting on Tuesday 8th March 2022 were approved & signed by the Vice chair

Matters arising from Minutes of 08/03/2022

(1) Facebook – J Whitlow & RM have a problem linking the Website to Face book. RM to ask J whitlow, or a village member for assistance with the Facebook page.

(2 )Planning: Quarry Brook Farm has now been placed with Planning Enforcement

(3) Email addresses: Clerk advised Cllrs of options for email addresses. Agreed to pay for xxxx@crowtonparishouncil. Clerk to liaise with J Whitlow to set these up after AGM

(4) Millennium Green benches: These are now in place, thanks to RT, RS, JR & RH

(5) Millennium Green accidents/incidents: Following a comment from a MOP Cllrs agreed to put signage up on the MG stating that “Users of the MG do so at their own risk” RM to organise.

(6) Station Road: Surfacing – Cllr C Fifield to escalate

Planning Applications –

22/01314/LBC 2 Stone Houses, Kingsley Road Crowton. Amendment to previous application – No objections raised.

Queens Jubilee Celebrations – update

Event to be held on Friday 3rd June, at the Hare & Hounds.  It will be afternoon tea,with live music, followed by a BBQ later in the day plus some other things going on.

Beacon – This will be made by an engineer in the village, and lit in the evening

Drone organised,

JC had spoken to RM regarding the afternoon tea. Due to Public Health and allergens RM was not happy with outside groups making food to be consumed on the pub premises.

Following a discussion it was agreed RM to supply afternoon tea, pre-booked numbers, and the Parish Council will repay RM at cost.

RM to organise flyers for the event.

Church & WI to have a cake stall with proceeds going to charity

Trees for Millennium Green:

Due to the timing of the volunteers and the external fence JC to ring fence hedges and trees for planting early autumn, from Mersey Forest

Dates & times of future meetings

Agreed to continue with 2nd Tuesday of the month (except August)

Agreed meetings to start at 7pm with an agenda item for Public Participation

Broadband

JC updated all on Facto, the company that the PC have been looking at. All agreed to contact other companies, ie Open Reach & Freedom Fibre. JC & RH to organise

Village Hall Parish Council Representative

Following a discussion RH agreed to be the Parish council representative for the PC

Parish Field

Clerk had advised that due to circumstances the tenants of the Parish Field had given 3 months notice, terminating on the 7th July.

It was agreed to advertise the vacant lease for 28 days on the notice board

Payments agreed:

(1) Clerks salary

(2) clerks expenses 3 months £139.47

(3) village hall rent for the prior year £90.00

Any other business/village issues –

(1) Millennium Green:

Volunteers: agreed that the Cllrs did not want any reimbursement for refreshments given to the volunteers

Volunteers will next be working on the MG on 10th May & 28th June

(2) Post boxes: it was noted that they are looking a little tired, clerk to try to contact Royal Mail to request a re-paint

(3) request to look at the positioning of the 30 mile per hour speed area, with the possibility of extending. Cllr C Field to speak to Highways
